In 2023, the Phelps Community Historical Society approached Michael Nash asking if he would form an art gallery in the Country Lawyer Office Building at 7 Church Stret in Phelps, NY. 

The gallery was named the Country Lawyer Gallery of the Arts. 

After four months of work on the building - cleaning, modifying, installing lights, etc., we opened our first exhibit on July 4th. 2023 to a large crowd of artists and curious community members. The gallery now includes classes, workshops, and fun events.

Since then, the Country Lawyer Gallery of the Arts has grown both in exhibits and visitors from our communities as well as out of town and out of state art lovers.

The Phelps Community Historical Society (PCHS) has fully funded the Country Lawyer Gallery of the Arts as their project since its creation, in 2023. This project will gradually transition to a 501(c)3 not for profit charitable organization; 7 ARTS FLX GALLERY. 7 ARTS FLX will be independent of the PCHS in the future.

Not much will change for visitors - great exhibits. free admission, events, classes, workshops Pop-ups, and more! 7 Arts FLX is now able to access specific art funding, offer memberships (available now), receive business sponsorships, and hold fundraising events.

We are a unique gallery in that we are located in a small, rural town. This is rare, but the art is anything but pedestrian. We are based on professionalism and quality, but this does not mean exclusivity. Our space is open to both professional artists as well as those who are just starting their art journey. This is one of our unique qualities - everyone is always welcome - artists and visitors alike. Uniqueness...... yes!
